During this term, our students of the first year of E.S.O. have been studying materials and now they know how to use them. They have made some Christmas trees and decoration using recycled paper and other materials, like plastic glasses. All of them are beautiful, as you can see in the pictures below:

MEET THE TEACHERS
Hi everybody!
This year we are working too hard to get you involved in our blog project. You'll find lots of different items, I hope. Let's start with a picture competition. The only task we ask you to do is to guess which teacher matches each picture. Take your chance and good luck.

Exchange IES Luis de Góngora - Royal Russell School (London) 2013/14
Last May, the group I1A (1st Year, Bilingual Section) went on a trip to London and visited the Royal Russell School.
This is what they published in their school newsletter:
Spanish students visit
A group of Year 8 students joined us on Thursday from Madrid. They were impressed by the lovely surroundings of Royal Russell School and had been paired up with our Year 8 students for the day. They attended a variety of lessons and joined in with Mr Piggin's Spanish Armada lesson, helped Mr Bueno's students with their Spanish writing and even laughed at Mr Moseley's jokes! They were extremely polite and thanked us for the wonderfully enjoyable day. Hopefully they'll enjoy the rest of their stay in London and have a safe trip back home.
In a couple of weeks, most of the students in the new I1A and three students from other groups (I2A and 02A) will be visiting that school. From Thursday 21st to Wednesday 27th November, they will join their exchange partners in lessons, will visit museums and other well-known sights in London and will spend six days with their exchange families.
It's also going to be a great experience, for sure! We're looking forward to it!

English Corner
Last year, (2012-2013) we started with bilingualism in English with one group of children (First course of compulsory education). They made different projects and some of them were exposed at the 'English Corner'.
In the pictures you can see two projects of Natural Sciences. One of them is about 'Aurora Borealis' and the other is a survey entitled 'How do you protect the atmosphere?'
